Ode to Rose

My heart explodes scintillating green and silver wisps of love;
They lick the ethers sweetly as the light enters to flirt with darkness,
And the weight of the world becomes as light as her form.
An ancestral reminder,
The flower of Christ, of Mother Mary,
The color of the womb,
I am taken home again.
She is proud, and gentle
Her prickled softness like spiked silk
She protects her flesh and mine like a mother protects her child
With sweet delicate unwavering firmness
Steadfast and faithfully rooted in the endless universe of Unconditional Love.
